Hypochlorous acid (HOCL) is natural antimicrobial white blood cells make to fight infection. In 1833 Michael Faraday, an English Scientist, invented the process of electrolysis to produce HOCL with a very simple process by taking saltwater and placing negative and positive electrodes in the saltwater then passing electricity through the electrodes.
